There is definitely a big need for this … Senior partners at firms are not spending enough time [on training] and most professional education out there is superficial."
After these courses, you could come into a firm on day one, start diving into the documents, and provide meaningful input to the deal team. While [other courses] focus on the theoretical or updates in the law, this focuses on the practical and gives you a toolkit to jump-start or refresh your practice."
I developed practical legal skills that went far beyond the legal training provided in law school. I particularly enjoyed the opportunity to work on corporate transaction assignments that were similar to what a law firm associate would experience."
AltaClaro’s courses hit the right mark between being challenging and yet manageable for someone who is working while taking the program…”
We offer two ways to pay: upfront and payment plan. With the payment plan, you can pay over 12 months, but you pay a slightly higher overall price.
Each program includes the following materials and services:
You will be eligible for a certificate of completion so long as you complete all of the units and assignments and attend all of the review sessions. The certificate will be shareable online with a description of the topics covered in the program.
Basic knowledge of and familiarity with business law concepts, including contracts and corporate entities is very helpful in order to get the most out of the program. A JD graduate will typically have this knowledge; in some cases a paralegal, finance professional, or executive may also have this level of knowledge based on their professional and business experience. If you're not sure whether you have the right experience, we'll be happy to discuss it with you further when you apply.
Seats are limited, and we accept applications on a rolling basis. In some cases, if demand exceeds our capacity for one cohort and we are able to secure an additional instructor, we may add additional cohorts.
The first step is to complete a short questionnaire to learn about your prior experience and interests. Based on your responses, we will schedule a short phone interview to make sure the program is a good fit for you, your experience, and your goals.
We are committed to our students' success and want every student to feel that their investment in AltaClaro's program was worth it. Subject to certain terms, we will refund 100% of your paid tuition if you complete the entire program, including all units, simulations and sessions, and provide us a good-faith signed written statement detailing why you are dissatisfied with the program.
